Personal information we collect

When you contact us by phone, email, website form, or through one of our advertising lead forms, we may collect:

• Your name • Your phone number and email address • Your street address or the property address for the job • Details about the plumbing, drainage or gas work you need • Photos, files or notes you choose to send us • Information about how you found us (for example, a search engine, Facebook, or a specific advertisement)

How information is collected

We collect information in a few ways:

• Directly from you — when you call, email, or fill in a quote or contact form on our website • From advertising platforms — when you submit a lead form on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Snapchat, TikTok or Google, those platforms pass your details to us • Automatically — through cookies, analytics and tracking tools that record how you use our website (see Cookies, analytics and tracking below) • Call tracking — calls to our tracked numbers may be recorded for quality and reporting purposes by our call tracking provider

Why we collect it

We collect this information so we can:

• Respond to your enquiry and provide quotes • Book, carry out and invoice work • Contact you about your job, including by phone, text or email • Understand which advertising and marketing channels are working, so we can improve them • Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations

How we use it

Your information is used only for the purposes above. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Enquiry details, including the page or advertisement you came from, are sent to our customer relationship management (CRM) system so our team can follow up and manage your job.

Marketing and customer communications

If you give us your contact details, we may send you occasional updates about our services, offers and reminders. Every marketing message will include a way to opt out, and you can ask us to stop at any time by replying STOP, unsubscribing, or contacting us using the details below.

Transactional and job-related communications (quotes, bookings, appointment reminders) are not marketing and will continue as needed to service your enquiry.

Lead information received from advertising platforms

When you submit a lead form on Meta, Snapchat, TikTok, Google or another advertising platform, that platform collects your information under its own privacy policy and passes it to us so we can respond. Our use of that information is covered by this policy; the platform's collection and handling of it is covered by the platform's own terms and privacy policy.

These submissions are linked to the campaign or advertisement that generated them so we can measure results and improve our advertising. We may also share conversion events (such as a completed enquiry) back to the advertising platform for reporting — this does not include the content of your enquiry.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising. These may include:

• Google Analytics 4 — records pages visited, approximate location, device type and how long you stay, in aggregate • Google Ads and Microsoft (Bing) Ads — conversion tracking for our search advertising • Meta Pixel / Meta Ads — helps us measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising • CallTrackingMetrics — links calls to the page or advertisement that generated them • LeadConnector (HighLevel) — number swapping and session tracking so the right phone number shows and enquiries are attributed correctly • AddressFinder — address autocomplete when you type into our forms

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you using our website, but some measurement may be less accurate.

Service providers we may share data with

We share personal information with trusted providers who help us run the business, limited to what they need to do their job:

• LeadConnector (HighLevel) — CRM, forms, number swapping and messaging • Google (Analytics, Ads) — analytics and advertising measurement • Microsoft (Bing Ads) — advertising measurement • Meta — advertising measurement • Snapchat and TikTok — advertising measurement • CallTrackingMetrics — call tracking and recording • AddressFinder — address autocomplete • Our email and accounting systems, where needed to quote, invoice and communicate with you

Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand. They are bound by their own privacy and security obligations, and we only pass on what is necessary.

Data storage and security

Enquiries and job records are stored in our CRM and related systems, protected by passwords, access controls and encrypted connections. Only team members and providers who need the information can access it.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and to meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Access, correction and deletion requests

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible, and will confirm what we hold, make corrections, or explain why we cannot action a request (for example, where records must be kept for legal or tax reasons).
